Kate Shorter is a Los Angeles based make-up artist that has both Canadian and US citizenship. She has Journeyman status in IATSE Local 706. Kate is an award winning, versatile makeup artist. Her career has taken her around the world which includes working on film, television, red carpet, editorial and commercial work. 

Kate has a unique vision of creating characters with a collaborative approach that has garnered her long standing relationships with clients like Christopher Guest, Melissa McCarthy and Albert Brooks to name a few. Her penchant for creating memorable characters is equally matched by her skill as a beauty makeup artist. .

Kate has a gift for making her clients feel she at ease and her technique and vision has created some unforgettable film characters.
